I'm really sorry about this.
I'm having an absolutely terrible time at the moment, as I know are customers.
I created a backup using the command you gave, deleted the old VPS and prepared to move it, and then I discovered the backup was only 28 K in size:
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 28K Aug 3 22:05 BACKUP.tar.bz2
It was my massive mistake not to check the backup first.
Your new VPS is now online with the new IP ***, and I've added a year of free service.

There was a level of file system damage on the node your VPS originally lived on, due to the fire incident which caused a hard power off, and I suspect that this is the cause of this problem.

I am prepared as good as possbile now, my (more than 5) DNS Servers worldwide configs with manual updating, no rndc (for serity reasons), , are "pre-"updated!

That is correct, with the exception of the IPv6 part - the IPv6 address would stop functioning immediately when the migration begins (and finishes, until we've added support for IPv6 which is coming very soon).
But there will be no data loss?

We have put a halt on the migrations whilst we address some fatal software errors that occured with the process.
I can complete the migration at a time/date that suits you best.

several times now but nothing seems to have changed.

My Porblem it taht I habe DNS Clue Records on the Root-Servers DNS point to my IP that I need to change at eurid/verisign and that there is a TTL of several days so the sooner I know waht is happening the better.
